Each one of team members play an important role in keeping this well-oiled machine, not only running but churning out brilliant ideas and projects on the reg. In our ‘meet the team’ series, we give you a little more insight into the talented folk that make up our Smack Bang family.
My name is Felicity and my mum would say I’m pretty hopeless at picking up after myself but I think I’ve really changed my tune since moving out. The first thing I do when I wake up is wish I could sleep for another hour, and at the end of the day I have a cup of tea and ask my husband what the favourite part of his day was. My favourite thing about my job is that no two days are the same, and also all the legends who are my ‘colleagues’ (friends).
What do you do at SBD? I am an Art Director at SBD. Big picture that means taking a big vision and making it accessible, achievable and successful! Along with our amazing team, I oversee creative concepts to make sure all our work is hitting the mark both conceptually and technically for our clients and their needs. I get to work on the daily with some amazing clients to see their brand ideas come to life in branding, websites, packaging – anything really!
If you weren’t doing that, what would you be doing? Putting my organisational skills to use and doing something that involves schedules, planning and getting all my ducks in a row. I’m definitely the exception to the ‘all creatives are crazy and stay up till 2am and are spontaneous and last minute’ myth.
You’re on a desert island and can only listen to one album for the rest of your days. Which one is it? Jackson Brownes greatest hits. Or if that’s a cop-out cause it’s a compilation, The Lumineers Cleopatra
What’s your weekend ritual? A slow Saturday morning at a cafe, and a busy Sunday morning at church.
What’s the best choice you’ve made so far in life? Saying yes to go on a date with a boy I hardly knew who turned out to be my husband.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? Teleportation! Two words. Sydney. Traffic.
Coffee order? Filter, or a soy latte. Sometimes I add vanilla in the latte. I don’t tell many people that cause it’s a bit embarrassing, but we’re all friends here.
If you weren’t living in Sydney, where would you choose and why? Melbourne! It’s the dream. All of the coffee, the bars, the food and the vibes. I’m a full on home-body, but there’s something about Melbourne that feels like home.
